Windham High School Tutoring

Windham High School Tutoring provides instructional support for students in 9th through 12th grade. Through individualized and small group interventions, UConn volunteers provide additional classroom capacity and enhance academic achievement.

Mansfield Middle School Tutoring

Mansfield Middle School Tutoring provides one-on-one or small group assistance to students grades 5th – 8th. Through in-class and homework support in all academic disciplines, volunteers contribute to the educational attainment of local youth and serve as mentors.

COPE

COPE supports elementary-aged children who have opted to participate due to identified stressors, a desire to have a positive role model, and/or have enjoyed the program in previous years. The program helps normalize feelings, provide support, build friendships and help students develop coping skills to handle changes and stress in their lives. COPE offers a critical support system that serves to equip children with tools that foster resilience.

Big Friends

Mansfield Youth Services Big Friends program encourage social and academic enrichment through one-on-one and small group interactions. Big Friends is designed to provide activities that enhance physical, emotional, and social growth. Children learn to resolve conflict and develop skills needed for successful future group interaction.

Nathan Hale Homework Club

Nathan Hale Homework Club offers one-on-one tutoring for teens from grades 6–8th. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are unable to offer this program for the upcoming semester. Please check our website again in January for updates regarding Spring 2021 program status.
