Footwear with Care Boot Party
The UConn Alumni Hartford Alumni Network has partnered with the UConn Hartford Campus the Hartford Police Department and Fleet Feet of West Hartford to work with Footwear with Care and provide assistance to area citizens in need. We invite you to come help serve with us by handing out brand new shoes, socks, toiletry packages, and packed lunches to visitors of the participating homeless shelters.
Volunteers are encouraged, if able, to bring new and unused toiletries and socks that can be given out to guests at this event. Although it is not required, any additional help in this area is appreciated. Community Outreach Transportation will be provided to and from the event for volunteers on this day.

MLK Day of Service
Join Community Outreach in celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr during this MLK Day of Service! This day of service is a great opportunity to bring people together and strengthen our sense of community, while also reflecting on the relevance of Dr. King's work today. The day will include on campus and off campus service opportunities, where participants have the opportunity to build literacy kits for children and assemble hygiene kits to deliver to No Freeze Shelter, volunteer at local food shelters, and reflect on the significance of this day!
